Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as Bay Brook Elementary Middle School Principal. I am honored to have this opportunity to lead Bay Brook Elementary Middle School and support our school community in providing programs that will benefit our Baltimore City Public School System students.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for over twenty years. This year will mark my 16^th year in instructional leadership along with 9 years as a classroom teacher. I have worked with a variety of students’ ranging in age from Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade. I have served communities in North Carolina, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. I have worked in numerous roles such as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, RELA Instructional Specialist, Assistant Principal, Principal Resident, Principal, and Director of Community Partnerships. My most recent administrative experience was at New Era Academy as the school principal for two years in Cherry Hill.

Along with the teachers and staff, we will work hard to provide a learning environment for students that promotes academic, social and emotional growth. We will explore ways to meet the needs of all students and effectively communicate with all parents and community members. I firmly believe that every child can excel and that the partnership between home and school builds confidence in students to use their powers to shape their future and the future of our community and our nation.

All of us at Bay Brook are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. This year is going to be amazing as we continue to SOAR with Eagle Pride. “Partnering with our Families is Essential” and it helps us to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous and relevant. It is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students, parents-are excited to be here and are reminded that we are taking every precautionary step to provide a safe learning environment.
