Eligibility Requirements for Student-Athletes

  1. A student-athlete cannot be failing more than two classes at any time. (including Resource)
  • If a student-athlete is failing more than two classes, they are not allowed to participate until they meet the requirement again.
  1. From the beginning of the season to the end, student-athletes cannot have more than 2 staff referrals for behavior or skipping class.
  • If a student-athlete receives a 3rd referral, they must go 5 full school days without another one to regain eligibility.
  • If a student-athlete goes the 5 days without one but get another referral after that, they are to be removed from the team permanently for that season.
  1. A student-athlete who is sent to the Reflection Room or sent out of the classroom by a teacher more than twice in a 5-day period, will have to sit out for a week of competition and practice.
  2. If a student-athlete is suspended from school for any reason, they will be suspended for one game. If they are suspended a second time for any reason during the season, they will be removed from the team.
  3. All students are required to carry a behavior and grade sheet around to teachers to track behavior and grades. It must be turned in at the end of the week each week and it will be checked and logged by the Athletic Director. Those who do not turn them in, will be ineligible to participate that next week entirely.
  4. All final eligibility decisions are made by Administration in collaboration with the coaches and the Athletic Director.
